Training Modeling and Simulation Workshop
Course Description
The Training M&S Workshop is a one-day workshop designed for those who use Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for training at the tactical, operational, and theater levels of military operations, and for staff members and managers who oversee these activities. Graduates will be able to plan and integrate the use of M&S in support of training in warfighting organizations. The course includes "hands-on" application and use of essential training M&S tools, and it blends general M&S overview information with an in-depth discussion of the application of M&S for individual and collective training. The course provides insight into what M&S can, and cannot, do for training, with consideration of the costs, savings, and operational benefits attendant to use of M&S tools, techniques, and capabilities. Also, the course can be tailored to the needs of specific organizations or geographic regions, and for dispersed organizations it can be presented as a series of workshops across the organization’s area of responsibility.
Course Goals
The workshop provides students with a foundation of knowledge that will enable them to make informed decisions about the use of M&S in training activities.
