VV&A Workshop

Course Description

This one-day workshop presents basic information about the role of Department of Defense (DoD) verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) resources, organizations, policies, and processes in the development of models and simulations (M&S). The workshop is designed for anyone in the M&S community with responsibilities that include the application of VV&A principles to their organization's activities. Graduates will be able to define the terms and describe the processes associated with VV&A; recognize essential VV&A documents, considerations, procedures, and techniques; identify the reasons to use VV&A; describe the value of VV&A to M&S programs; determine the level of VV&A required to establish credibility of M&S for its intended use in their organization's programs; and identify major components of a VV&A plan, and the appropriate timing for development and execution of the plan.

Course Goal

The workshop provides students with a foundation of knowledge that will enable them to make informed decisions about the use of VV&A tools and techniques.
