Warfighter Modeling and Simulation Course
The Warfighter M&S Course is a one-day course designed for those who use M&S for training, analysis, acquisition, and experimentation activities, with specific focus on considerations at the operational and theater levels of military organizations, and for staff members and managers who oversee such activities. The course serves as a great overview for anyone needing a “big picture” view on M&S support to key mission areas. Graduates will be better able to plan and integrate the use of M&S in support of mission analysis, training, and other activities in support of operations in warfighting organizations at the operational and theater levels. The course includes a description of essential Warfighter M&S tools, and it blends general M&S overview information with an in-depth discussion of DoD M&S policies and processes that support specific functional areas (i.e., training, analysis, and acquisition, as well as experimentation), while highlighting their application and relevance to the mission areas of key interest to a Warfighter audience. The course provides insight into what M&S can, and cannot, do for Warfighters, with particular emphasis on the costs, savings, and operational benefits attendant to use of M&S tools, techniques, and capabilities.
